CONCORD, CA - MOL (America) Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James C. Galligan as the company’s Security Officer. Mr. Galligan will serve as MOL’s point person for all security related matters, such as the C-TPAT program recently implemented by U.S. Customs. MOL established this new corporate post in response to the increased national attention on vessel and U.S. Port security issues.
Mr. Galligan will be responsible for the consistent monitoring of all security related legislative and regulatory activities, the quick dissemination throughout the company of all pertinent information, as well as to provide customers and personnel with a clear, rapid-response, question and answer channel.
Mr. Galligan’s appointment as MOL (America) Inc.’s Security Officer is in addition to his current responsibilities as Vice President of Regulatory & Agreement/Marketing Trade Support. “Jim’s prior experience with conference legislative and regulatory issues was a key factor in our expanding his area of responsibility to include all security related matters,” said Ray Keene, EVP & COO, MOL (America) Inc.
