MOL Refrigerated Containers
With a tightly insulated, high-performance refrigeration unit, these containers
are designed for transporting frozen or chilled cargoes such as fruits, vegetables,
meat, and fish as well as chemical products such as films. To ensure efficiency
and control in shipping, MOL offers the following high- performance features:
- The interior walls are entirely covered with stainless steel to prevent the cargo
from smelling or becoming contaminated.
- Each unit is designed for even circulation of cool, fresh air throughout the container.
The fresh air supply can be adjusted by the unit’s ventilation control.
- A 400-volt power supply is used. The desired temperature can be maintained with
a variety of power sources including an engine generator that is set while on the
road, a land power source for use in the container terminal, and an onboard power
source on oceangoing vessels.
- The temperature setting varies within a range of -30°C (-22°F) and 30°C
(86°F), and is recorded automatically.
- The condition of the container's contents can be monitored from outside via
a warning light.
- In addition to conventional refrigerated containers, MOL offers two types of containers
specially designed to keep cargoes in good condition while under transportation.
- Cold sterilize (USDA): Container has four probe connectors for recording the core
temperature of fruit.
- Humidity control (dehumidifier): Container has a re-heater to control humidity.
The humidity can be set within a range of 60% to 95% relative humidity.
